    Ring Gap

Recently @bitzz mentioned you ALWAYS check the ring gap. So I did. (1972 CB750) Clymers say .028" or less. Or less?? I thought you needed a minimum end gap for when the rings expand. My gaps were .012 - .016".

    Sparkplug Helicoils

Need to fix a bad plug hole on a 72 CB750 head. 12x1.25. The inserts are cheap and you can fake the install tool by grinding a bolt. The special sized tap not so much. Before I drop $100 to get a tap I'll use maybe just this once anybody got one they'd out loan out that's vaguely close to...

    Computor gurus?

I want to get some vinyl images cut for our van. My son created the image on some pirated software he no longer has and I now have an image in an XXX.png file. Vinyl guy needs a vector based file/image. Any ideas how I get from one to the other if I can?

    Relay required?

I found a large led light that I want to mount on my KLR. The back reads "AC/DC 12-24V 10watts 3000K" LEDs draw little current so I'm wondering if I need to operate it via a relay or can safely wire it direct to the battery (w/ a switch and fuse of course) Thanks

    Deglazing cylinders

I'm picking up one of these and would be grateful for any tips or techniques. I understand the desired result is a nice cross hatch pattern accquired with a slow rpm on the drill while moving up and down in the cylinder. Could anyone be more specific? Is a lube or cutting fluid required...

    Question for the Posties

I don't get door to door so my postal code is for the Post office where I pick up mail and not my house. This causes grief often because people like rogers and fedex want a postal code for my street address but it simply doesn't exist. This came to a head again today when my son was trying to...

Boomer skills millenials just won't use.

Scrolling thru some clickbait and found this. 20. Riding Motorcycles Replaced by: Other modes of transport Cause: Electric scooters Rather than investing a small fortune on a motorcycle that is classically large and clunky, millennials are opting for renting electric scooters from companies...

    B.R.O. thoughts?

Was handed a BRO flyer (Bikers rights origanization) at the show and was told it's only $20 to join. Read the flyer and most of it sounds good until I get to the "let those who ride decide" part. Mandatory helmet laws just make sense. Just because you don't care does that mean EMTs have to be...

Just finished a batch of beef jerky. Unlike my hard cider, which is, I admit, an acquired taste everyone who tries the jerky loves it.

    Is a CBR125 too small?

Had my 76' CB750F out for some laps at Grand Bend during the Festival of Speed in August. The 750 is not a small bike and after it's restoration I wasn't about to go hard and chuck it in a corner. That said the lapping was a lot of fun and I'm thinking about a track bike. I don't need to go...
