BC is on my to do (again) list...
I really just enjoy the TCH up through Northern Ontario and yes, even across the prairies...
The real epic-ness though is the BC interior.
I'm in awe whether riding it, driving it or flying over it...
My renewal, due March 1st came in at $35 lower than last year... 'Okay I guess.
Any other agent/broker is quoting hundreds more... So I'll stay with mine.
They both work completely reliably.
The chubby buttons unit I strap to my right (throttle) forearm...
This allows me to press the buttons with my left hand. Right hand stays on the throttle.
The disc-like unit sits on my clutch reservoir... 'Within easy reach of my left paw...
"In" before... "OMG, you're gonna die 'cuz you can't hear what's going on around you"
I listen to music while riding too... 'Have tried a few things, but always end up back with a decent set of ear buds plugged into my old Samsun S4 phone.
I use either a Chubby Buttons BT controller...
or...
'Just so we're straight here... The hammer was there just to help tap the metal oil filter wrench thingy off the old oil filter.
If any of you professional mechanics have a better way of doin' it... I'm all ears:D
*Axel stick "might" get a tap with a rubber mallet...
There are lots of ranges... most are indoor though and more suited to handguns.
A short distance... an hour or so out of the city you can find several outdoor ranges more suitable for rifle.
Only issue will be access. Most range are private clubs that require membership.
I loves me my Harbor Freight 1000lb. lift.
Best part was I got it on sale for $299USD.
Even with the exchange rate it was a bargoon. Even better... Drove it home across the border and the CBSA just waived me through... No extra taxes or duty.
Handles my FJR just fine
Y'see... I ain't baller by any means but... I dont sweat the $ of a good lid.
Look at it this way...
$÷kms.
My last lid was about $850.
Wore it for about 60000km.
Works out to 1.4 cents per km
Time for a new lid.
I'm a Shoei fan-boy so I'll be stickin' with the brand...
'Been through a couple of their GT-Air models and really... I'd buy another, but... 'Been thinking about going "modular" with their Neotec.
Who's gone from full face to flip up modular... 'Happy with your choice...
At handgun distances I doubt there's any measurable/meaningful difference.
What we don't know from that picture is the bullet weight(s), which in my experience will have an effect on differentials in performance.
9mm pills are commonly 115gr, 124/25gr and 147gr.
At least the ammo pictured is all...
