My opinion - no, that’s not a claim.
I’d threaten them with a lawsuit to protect your insurance record because right now, with a claim against you, they have you by the balls and you are less likely to move insurers.
I’d rather pay less for a Subaru, Honda or VW. Even if they were the same price I’d rather go that way. I just don’t see the value in the Hyundai. If it were less, sure I might consider it, but I don’t view Hyundai as being a premium brand over those other 3 brands.
I think at this point it’s going to come down to what feels best when we test drive them.
Anyone work at Subaru, Volkswagen or Honda in the KW area? If we’re going to be buying, might as well support one of our own.
I love the drive in the summer. Sometimes when I’m riding the bike home from work, for some unknown reason, it can take as long as 2 hours….. [emoji2371]
The commute can be a little rough in the winter during a snow storm though….
No sitting in traffic for me!
I’m very lucky to have the commute I have. I turn out of my driveway and have 20-25 minutes of back country roads. My biggest obstacles are tractors and horse and buggies.
Our Mustang is RWD so it’s not foreign to her. Good winter tires will be a must regardless of what car she picks. Also, we work and commute together so if it’s a particularly bad snowy day we can just take the truck.
New contender just got entered into the race. Considering the wish list I was given for the next potential car this one seems to come a little out of left field.
Now in contention is a 2022 Subaru BRZ.
The wife is low-key and doesn’t want anything too ‘flashy’. Also, she doesn’t want to be lumped in with the stereotypical BMW driver. We had a 5-series as a rental for a couple weeks in Florida one year and hated it because she said she constantly felt like she was being judged.
To each their own.
Gas prices are going up, no getting around that. Luckily we’re in a position where the wife can consider getting a daily driver that takes premium and doesn’t sip fuel. The way I look at it, this will be our last ‘fun’ car before our only options will be hybrid or electric so might as well go...
