    Coronavirus

We have to be very careful, Israel is a good study here. They had national cases down to single digits, then rushed to reopen schools, results were not great.

Explosion in Beirut (at the port?)

Just read a bunch of articles, seems it's ammonium nitrate that was loaded off a tanker and no one bothered to do anything about it. 2,750 Tonnes Of Ammonium Nitrate Exploded: Lebanon PM On Beirut Blasts Clearly devastating, if we have any Lebanese members, hope your families/friends are safe.

    General hardware

I'm a fan of OEM. Everything matches, no having to guess, guaranteed to work. $1-3 a bolt really isn't all that much in the big picture. For generic, the Bolts Plus in Vaughan has always been good to me.

    Struggling financially and getting frustrated?

People like this have zero concept of the actual cost of things, they look at monthly payments. If the monthly payment fits into their "budget", they're good to go. Unfortunately this is true for the large majority of our population. I'm sure most of us have had conversations along these lines...

    2nd bike insurance

Yup, once insured three bikes simultaneously, cost me regular insurance/bike x3. Maybe got a $50 annual discount for multi-policy, but nothing worth noting.

    WE - Your Opinion?

I could be mistaken on this, I'm not a theologist nor a Mormon, but I believe Mormons do this right. A major part of the religion is to do good in the world, feed the hungry, help the needy, etc. as Christ preached. Not in a selfish, I need to do this to get into heaven way, but because it's...

    WE - Your Opinion?

I agree on this completely, there are many charities who's purpose is less about charity and more about making money. Unicef for example only uses 58c/dollar for charity, UNICEF Canada. Canadian Cancer Society is 61c/dollar, Canadian Cancer Society I would not paint all charities with the same...

    US is ******

Agreed, putting his politics aside he's a very impressive man. Grew up poor in the Jim Crow south, got a masters degree, turned Godfather's Pizza around from near bankruptcy. Source? "Never in the history of the country, through wars and depressions and the Civil War, have we ever not had a...

Today, Trump pondered delaying the election which has never been done in US history and something he is constitutionally not allowed to do. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53597975?SThisFB

Today, former presidential candidate, Herman Cain passed away today from Covid. Possibly contracting it at Trump's Oklahoma rally on June 20th. Governor of Oklahoma that was sitting beside him has contracted it as well.

    WE - Your Opinion?

I can't say I've looked into it too far, so please take this post with a grain of salt, but it would be a shame if a good charity went down because some parties wanted to take down Trudeau and used this charity and their ties to him as a means to do that. I grew up in the same general area...
