If you could have one bike...

I demo’d a 2019 Road Glide with the M8 and it was super smooth and sounded great stock. It’s one of the HDs I wouldn’t mod the exhaust and it’s wasn’t a CVO. Great power. It wasn’t packed with gear and/or pilon but, found it a pleasure to ride. As a previous HD owner, I was impressed. As I’m...

Vastly different rates for similar bikes???

KTM 390 and the R3 are similar in HP. Yammie is a twin, the duke is a thumper. For whatever reason, I just like the look and feel of the R3. Great little zipper and can manage the freeway when needed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Trailer noob

Should be able to find a 4 pin trailer harness that plugs into one of the rear tail lights or something like that. YouTube or one of the hitch manufacturers will have a quick install vid. The weak link for vehicles typically is the transmission for heat. Folks drive with trailers the same...

Suggestion for 2 nighter ride on long weekend.

Stayed at the 1819 Red Brick Inn near Watkins Glen last fall. It’s actually in Dundee NY. Toured around the finger lakes with plenty of interesting roads. Lots of wineries and distilleries throughout the region for stoping points to view the area. Don’t have to drink at each place. Some have...

If you could have one bike...

Just one? Fawk! I’m looking at sport touring bikes right now. VFR1200 or ST1300, BMW r1200RT, FJR, Concours, etc....... Then my eye wanders to classic standards\ like a Triumph Bonneville T120, liquid cooling, 6 spd trans, or used T-Bird..... Then I think of RE 650 cont for just bopping...

Midwinter Blues 2, 2020 - Has anyone been saved by loud pipes?

Motorcycles saved my life.......from boredom and the mundane. Straight pipes and poorly tuned machines are annoying. But, I do enjoy the mechanical sound of various machines of 2 wheels and 4 wheels as well as snow machines and water craft etc. I’m very aware that my tastes are not...

    Coffee: McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Starbucks...or?

While I may order a Red Rose or Orange Pekoe tea, it’s not beneath me to have a timmies dark roast regular. I worked a Petro Can 30 years ago and made what ever kind of coffee that was in the drawer of the station. It may have been recycled motor oil but, it helped me get through each shift...

    Goodbye Blatch

Always had a perspective that insightful. Like many, didn’t always agree with her but, when she was speaking or writing, I listened/read with interest. I’m truly saddened and grieving for someone I didn’t meet or know personally. RIP Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

And you get seniors rates starting at 55! Yeah baby!!! I still do orange pekoe tea with 2 milk and 1 sugar at McD, use the sticker for my card and use the app for purchase, trying to scam for more freebies. Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

When Insurance offers too little for a "total loss" settlement

The Personal is a direct insurer or Dalton Timmis is a broker. Even though the accident wasn’t your fault, it’s still a claim. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Agree with the others regarding ECU flash. Many FI bikes suffer from lean fuel maps and poor throttle response and find an update does improve things a lot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Contemplating a new ride for 2020. Suggestions?

Aside of the OP reasons for ruling out HD touring. Ultra Classic from 2009 and newer are pretty good and can be had in the $10k range with 50k or less on the odo. 2009 models updated their frame and offered the 96” as well as the 103”. The 110” had some issues overheating and generally were on...

Contemplating a new ride for 2020. Suggestions?

Yamaha Royal Venture or Kawi Vulcan Voyager. Both are full touring with top box. Suzuki C90T does come with an optional top box as well. I prefer the cowl of the Kawi. Have not ridden any of them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

The Gentlemen - great cast. Can get a little long with some dialogue similar to Quentin but, it pays off nicely. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Worth the ticket and popcorn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
