Has the city lost it's mind...

North Scarborough. K-8 had gangs?? Didn't say it was amazing, or better, just different. Couldn't use TTC after 6 PM or Sundays, no service, we were stuck in Neverville.

Has the city lost it's mind...

Grade 10 was a cornucopia of Catholic girls wanting to prove how bad-ass they could be. Good times.

Has the city lost it's mind...

Back in the 60's when I was in school, not much violence when the strap was a possibility. No strap now and a lot more violence in schools.:unsure:

Has the city lost it's mind...

Nine years @ about 200 kids a year, so 1800 school kid years. Six times the strap was used, so I would say the threat worked. Hope my math is understandable. And for the record, I'm a slow learner so ya 2x. 🫣 How many times would the strap have been used today with what is happening in schools...

    Inflation

Gas pricing gets me every time. Profit driven? You tell me: What was the profit for Exxon in 2022? Full-year 2022 earnings were $15.0 billion compared to a loss of $0.3 billion last year. Identified items reduced earnings by $0.7 billion mainly from additional European taxes on the energy...

Has the city lost it's mind...

In the 9 years (K-8) that I spent in school I only recall the strap being given 6 times. Two to me, once to a brother. Then when we got home, strap again from mom. It's not so much the use, just the threat was enough to keep you on the straight and narrow.

    Are you afraid of balloons?

Sorry, the horse was out for re-shoeing. The Mountie had to hoof it on snow shoes. :ROFLMAO:

John Tory C'ya! Another Toronto Mayor bites the dust

I am surprised a 30 something would be attracted to someone the same age or older than her father. 🤔 Daddy issues? Although, after some of the stuff I've seen or heard over the years, nothing should surprise me. 🫣 So who is going to out the Mayor's aid first? Will we ever know who this Toronto...

Has the city lost it's mind...

When you have single parent families, or two parents working their butts off just to make ends meet, then are too exhausted to properly deal with kids. Then you have kids raised in daycare and not taught proper social skills or responsibilities, you end up 'Lord of The Flies' society. Back in...

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

NOT a watch baller here. Last watch was a $12.00 Timex from their warehouse in Markham. Died about 7 - 8 years ago. Doesn't matter. I'm retired and time no longer has any relevance. My week is six Saturdays, followed by a Sunday. 🥸

    Inflation

Years ago, I got the bonus. When gas was still sold by the gallon, but the price was over $1.00 so you paid double what the pump said. Was coming home late from Tobermory, stopped for gas. Must have woke the kid. Came out rubbing sleep from his eyes. Asked for $10.00, all I had, he pumped $10...
