    Daily sports car?

Another car that I was really disappointed to see discontinued was the Acura RSX Type S coupe. It was a really nice little package. I wish they would bring back an updated version. I’ve heard rumors that they were bringing back the name on a new model but it would be a 4 door electric or hybrid...

    Daily sports car?

That sounds a little disappointing. Seems most car manufacturers aren’t taking any risks and just keep pumping out the same old products. I was really disappointed when Honda axed the Civic Si Coupe, it was the best bang for the buck by a long shot. The MX-5 and Mustang are close seconds but I...

    I just bought a 1984 Honda V30 Interceptor

“My garage is too big!” said no one ever.

    I just bought a 1984 Honda V30 Interceptor

Nice bike and a big thumbs up on the original paint, that’s getting rarer on vintage bikes these days. Interceptors, and Ninjas for that matter, we’re a giant leap in technology that year being the first water cooled, mono shock mass produced sport bikes. Your right about the 500 being much...

5 years out of a Yuasa AGM battery?

Probably because the Yuasa battery that come with your Japanese bike was made in Japan. The Yuasa battery you buy here is made in the US. I’ve always found that the battery that came with my new bike lasts about twice as long as the replacement. Good thing batteries are relatively cheap, if...

    The knife thread

A Glock 78 that I keep under my pillow and a Fairbairn Sykes Commando Knife that my wife’s grandfather carried in the Pacific Theatre during World War 2. It was made later in the war, it had the rings on the handle instead of being knurled. Not as nice as the earlier ones but just as effective.

What did you do in your garage today..?

I would try bolting 2 pieces of 1 7/8 “Unistrut” or “Electrostrut” across the bottom. You can get it at any electrical wholesaler in 10’ lengths, Rona carries it in their electrical department and I think Home Depot does too. Great all purpose stuff, I use it for building conduit racks and to...

What Are You Currently Listening To?

They use to bill them selves as “The only band that really matters” and for a very short time they were. One of the most exciting, memorable performances I’ve ever seen.

    RIP Robert Redford

He could also resite every scene from “Jaws” word for word, it played there for a long time too. He had a little trouble with the Japanese dialogue in “Tora,ToraTora” though.

    RIP Robert Redford

My cousin was an usher at The Elane Theatre in Scarborough, “The Sting” played there for like 5 months straight. He knew every word of dialogue in that film.

What's the weakest link in stopping you from riding longer?

You should consider getting an electric vest, you don’t even need one with sleeves, just the vest is fine. As long as you keep your core temperature warm your hands and feet should stay warm. I had one and it was a game changer. I could ride all day at 4-5 degrees Celsius. I rode 10 hours...

What Are You Currently Listening To?

Rumour has it that the woman singing backup, Merry Clayton, was pregnant, she walked out of the studio and promptly had a miscarriage.

What did you do in your garage today..?

We had a name for Mustangs when we were kids in high school, we use to call them Rustangs. Cars were not built for our climate back then. You would be lucky to get 5 Toronto winters out of those cars in the ‘60’s and 70’s. Fortunately they were cheap relative to income back then.

What Are You Currently Listening To?

This is another garage favourite. This was recorded on The Rolling Stones ‘69 US tour. They had lost founding member Brian Jones just months earlier. Nineteen year old guitar prodigy Mick Taylor steps in to take his place and the rest is history. The Rolling Stones are really starting to hit...

    2025 Auto Insurance rates

Insurance rates are all over the map and inconsistent. Here’s an example. My wife and I called TD Insurance to insure her 2007 Triumph Bonneville. She had completed her rider training course the year before, had her M1 and was renewing her insurance( bike in her name), virtually no experience.They...

    Anyone Seen A Missing ATM?

It’s actually on a corner within 50 yards or less of 2 provincial highways, Highway 12 and Highway 7 which have traffic at all hours. I’m sure a few people saw what was happening. There’s also a 24 hour Tim Hortons maybe 100 yards away. It wasn’t exactly in middle of nowhere.
