Another what's my bike worth thread

Pretty nice bike for a road trip, though...I wouldn't mind it for a deal like that.

Another what's my bike worth thread

Thanks for the feedback everyone, especially about the safety. Buying a few year old bike with low km on it without a safety isn't a big deal, but I can appreciate why someone would want one on a decade old machine to pay good money for it.

Another what's my bike worth thread

That's cheap for that year, if you can even find one...I've found one in BC for 6k, the rest are closer to 10k.Tbh I wouldn't consider my bike either if I could get a 2015 for that price, lol. Thanks for the feedback. Edit: just read the ad for that 6k one in BC, rebuilt title...so for 6k you...

Another what's my bike worth thread

Thanks for the honest and logical response. I'm not in a rush to sell, more in the thinking out loud and trying to figure out if it'd be worth it. I doubt the dealer would give me a fair price on trade, but I plan on going the supershow in January and see if I can get a winter deal trading in...

Another what's my bike worth thread

Kicking around the idea of selling my vfr800 to help fund the next toy I have my eye on but am having a hard time figuring out what it's worth. About a dozen or so on Kijiji in Ontario but all older and/or higher mileage. I'm seeing a range of about 3k to 6k. I think based on the ones I see...

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Finally got to see Joker last night. Was pretty dark, but brilliant. I really enjoyed it, had to sit there for a minute afterwards to absorb it all. It was a very different take on the whole dc/marvel genre. Joaquin Phoenix nailed it, I see the Joker in a different light now after seeing how...

    Snow tire - size matters?

Agreed, but on the flip side to that the taller sidewall improves ride (shorter stiffer sidewall gets rough in cold weather) and being softer and flexible reduces chance of damage to the wheel from potholes, frost heaves, etc.

    Snow tire - size matters?

This is a good calculator for checking if the wheel/tire size you are considering will fit: http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp You still need to know what your caliper clearance is though. Rule of thumb I've always used is downsize to the smallest size offered from the factory on the same...

    Kijiji people are evil

[emoji23] I had one of those last night, I was polite and replied price is firm, thank you. But next time I will use that line...

Heater -- Working on bike over the winter

I use this one, single car garage : https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/noma-oscillating-parabolic-dish-radiating-heater-0435999p.html#srp It throws off great heat with no fumes or fuel leak risks, unbearable heat if too close to it actually. If the garage is sealed well one should be enough...

    23 M1 S1000RR $12000/yr

When I told my 73 year old dad that I was selling one of my bikes he enthusiastically asked "why not sell them both so I can sleep at night?" I'm 45 and still have to text him when I get home if he knows I'm out riding lol.

EICMA 2019. Post all new bikes or updates from show

I've had my eye on the z900 since I started riding again, but didn't go for one as it was missing some features that competitors had and honestly the cluster was horrible. They seem to have addressed all my dislikes and then some with the 2020 model. I might be trading in both my bikes for one...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2019 Edition)

Started to prep my vfr for storage this morning but the sun peeked out so I decided to squeeze one last ride in. She's safely tucked away for the winter now and that's it for me this season.

    Kijiji people are evil

Had another one line cash offer, for 1k less than I am asking despite my ad stating no offers by message and firm price. Looked at his profile and he has a cbr600 listed, rattle can paintjob with damage by "previous owner" (obviously), and one of those runner plate mounts. Bike looks rough but...

    Kijiji people are evil

I can appreciate that mindset, and wouldn't have an issue with that kind of offer. I've had a few but respectfully declined because I don't need to sell and want to hold out for more. I don't think my asking price is unreasonable based on others I see for sale, but value is perceived and if I...

    Kijiji people are evil

Same can be said about some buyers. I've listed my ninja 300 for what I feel is a fair price based on condition, km and what others have listed theirs for. Had one guy ask if I would rent it to him for a few days first, when I said no he cursed me and said he hoped I never sell it. Another guy...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2019 Edition)

Got a 3 hour ride in today, was a bit chilly but bearable with layers. Pretty sure that will be the last ride of the season, but that's what I said last time lol.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2019 Edition)

I know how you feel, I was thinking it can't just be my luck. Sunday was nice, had the kids, couldn't ride yesterday. Work until 9pm tonight, will be dark and cold and riding through Brampton road construction in those conditions not going to risk it, wouldn't ride today. But tomorrow I'm...
