CBD cream

excellent post

I've never partaked in marijuana or its derivitives, and you mentioned trace amounts of THC (the psychoactive element) can build up in your system, but I assume if you take cannabis CBD it wont affect your motor skills and driving?
no affect on motor skills for me
but if you use it long term, the THC will be present in urine
I bought a home test kit just to see, and failed

I would recommend start taking it when you have some time off
it can cause drowsiness at first in some people I hear

@klr_guy that was my plan...although 6 & 7 year olds might not notice anything...but better safe than sorry...I can see the headline now "Catholic grade 2/3 teacher shows up stoned on CBD cream" Yikes :D

@Trials I checked the government website but didn't see any CBD stuff, just actual stuff to smoke...am I missing something?
Friend had some, I shall ask where you can get it, he said it was not very expensive too, like he figured 30 bucks would last a month.

I was about to try CBD myself after my latest sciatica flare up...but it released finally and for the time being, I feel well again. Next time it flares up if it lasts as long as this past one did, well, I'll be looking closer at things.

It has to be a safer long term solution than tylenol or advil , robaxcet ect.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Robaxacet (which is just acetaminophen with methocarbamol as a muscle relaxant adjunct) are both extremely safe medications if you follow the directions. The issues happen when people don't pay attention to the maximum dosage amounts inside 24 hour periods. I take between 1000 to 3000mg of Acetaminophen daily, and have for about 3-5 years now to manage chronic pain (spinal fusion and enough broken bones to shake a stick at) and have zero issues.

Advil (which is an NSAID and acts differently) can be a different beast. Also generally safe if you follow the directions, but it can cause ulcers...and is riskier yet for the elderly. I also have a prescription NSAID that I take when necessary - it's a hefty dose of Naproxen with a stomach protectant built in that avoids the ulcer risk. I had an ulcer before because of taking too many NSAID's without stomach protection. It is not fun.

getting a prescription is easy and allows purchase of very high quality CBD products
OCS is aimed for stoners, not patients
I used this company, they did a virtual assessment, then issued a prescription for just CBD products

edit: @ifiddles
this is very good stuff
prescription only

If you're a traveller, be very cautious doing anything online that leaves a paper trail in any fashion, prescription or payment. If you ever get your phone or laptop searched at the border and they dig up an old email exchange or payment confirmation....it's grounds for a permanent ban from entering the USA if you get a border guard with a stick in his ass sideways.

Cash at a OCS store would be my personal preference.

Mother in Law takes both a CBD oil and a THC oil for cancer treatments, sleeping and other related ailments. She opts for around 7-12% of each and takes it sublingually.

Anyone here make their own? I was thinking about making some oils or creams or something for her, except I only have stuff 18-28% THC. Looking to help her not get her high.

I did, for 30 - 40 yrs. Never tested the %age scientifically, but the goal was consistancy, to get the highest potency.
I found a place where I can buy it cheaper, and better than I can make it.
I know 2 ways to make it weak(er). 1) have low thc bud. 2) I can't explain here in just a few words, but it's not difficult.

My grow partner and I are making a rub this year. Starts with boiling down the roots from our plants. Tbh, the idea and the method are his so I've no clue how it'll turn out.

Slightly off topic....sorry OP...anyone have tips for me as I'd like to try and grow my first crop next year. This year didn't work out, I'll put these ones in the wife's garden so she has to water them! And I'll actually be home to tend to them.

The elderly in my family use Buddah Bar with great success.
Spotlighted by my 95 year old grandma, still strong as an ox, now with less discomfort day-to-day.

Not sure if this thread is a potential border issue.

I doubt it, its been legal 2yrs now. Fears are overblown. Only issues I've seen (in articles or news pieces) are admitting to use prior to that.

Interesting about the use of the roots. How much volume of dried root is needed?

Friend recommended the same thing, prescription,
or apparently you can save a few bucks by purchasing product on the reserve.
