Pencil Lake Road on a 1090 R

I haven’t ridden pencil lake road before. From you tube videos I’ve seen some big bikes go through it. I’ve ridden the 1090 on atv mud trails and gotten it in axle deep mud. Just wondering if it’s doable if anyone has recent info on it?

It is not recommended to do it alone on a big bike. There are a few nasty water crossings and a couple spots where it gets pretty gnarly.
Its completely doable depending on skill level and determination, but definitely better with a friend or two.
If you're unsure, you can always turn around and come out the way you came in.

Option B seems like a good idea unless behind you are a few sections where you prayed to your preferred sky being(s) that you made it and are glad you never need to cross that section again.

What's worse is when you do decide to turn around and fight back through it all.
Then later your buddies are like "Dude! You were like two minutes from the end, I cant believe you turned around!".

Having ridden that 'road' I agree with Iceman.

The flip-side is when you're deep in a trail and you eyeball the map and say, "It's looks like only another km or so before it clears up".

And then ten kilometers later it's still gnarly, and then you *have* to turn back because you forgot the chainsaw at home.

You really have been around.
We have a mutual friend named Yun, following him always gets me exactly where I didn't want to be lol.

Never heard of this, sounds like an awsome road, just watched some videos!

I'm down to do it sometime with anyone :)

I've done it on a Tiger 800... totally doable as long as it's not w/in a week of major rains. Water makes that road nasty.

I was up there 2 weeks ago after a long period of little to no rain and had to turn back at the first major water crossing after the bridge.
It looked pretty flooded and as I was by myself, I didn't want to risk drowning the bike. (Husqvarna 701e)

Welp, this past weekend had some biblical rains in the Kawarthas... I'd hate to see what it looks like now.
