Edit: I see you got one of the non BMW (Cagiva) Husqvarna's. I'm sure you'll have a blast on it. Parts can be found through SWM US here as SWM purchased the old Cagiva (MV Agusta) production line: SWM Motorcycles USA - Enduro RS 500 R

I was eyeballing that ad, a bit more cash than I wanted to spend but an awesome bike. I've loved the Huskies for a long time, just finally got one.
Thanks for the link, I've heard that about Swm but it's the first good link I've gotten.

Join Cafe Husky as well. Any questions you have are answered quickly: Cafe Husky

As well eBay always has aftermarket parts and you'll always find the odd bike being parted out as well.

Also, no matter what anyone tells you, don't use the Shell Rotella oil in these bikes...you'll be left stranded.

Now you have me curious - Cafe Husky has many threads that recommend Shell Rotella and I've been using 15w40 dino oil in my 2007 TE450 since the day I bought it (2008) and have NEVER had an issue.

That's good to know first hand. My husky has always had Ipone 10w60 full synthetic, that's what I'll continue to use just because.
I still have my versys for street, and two young kids. The husky will not see major use in a summer so I don't mind spending a bit extra on maintenance as it wont be that frequent.

I can't turn this into an oil thread, so please don't. I don't know if the T6 changed its formula to add more friction modifiers, but it left two Huskies stranded this past summer one old school 2010 and one BMW Husky (2013) . Both low mileage bikes under 1000 km's. The only time using this oil, so that's the only variable that changed. Both bikes recovered after dumping the oil. Take from that what you will...there are lots of threads on the web stating the exact same scenario. Again, YMMV and this is a good thread, so let's not hijack it.

You're the one who brought up oil, not me - I just wanted to know why you made that strange statement with no explanation after recommending Cafe Husky which has a lot of users who swear by Rotella.

Because a guy just bought a new / used Husky and I was trying to give him as many resources as I could. Cafe Husky is littered with stories similar to the one I wrote about clutch slippage on Rotella T6. Avoid the blue bottle with the Energy Efficient sticker on the jug.

Spent some time in the garage going over things. Valves check is done (all good), all fluids are fresh, a full general cleaning and new tank decals.
I'm going to get the wife to assist in setting the suspension up and it's time to play.
Bring on the dirt!

And I do appreciate it. I'm one of the guys who makes up his own mind on oil. But I do like input from other riders to consider, that's how decisions are made.
I've been using rotella in some of my bikes for several years, switching it out of my Versys this year as I find the shifting rough and notchy feeling. No issues on other bikes I've used it in.
The Husky has lived on Ipone 10w60 since new and it runs like new with very little sign of wear inside the engine, so I'm sticking with it for that bike.
It's really not expensive as the engine doesn't hold much oil to begin with.

oooh so pretty. I always thought Polaris made a huge mistake axing Victory.
 
Victory was great. Having put 30,000km on my Magnum I found it handled better, made better power, and was easier to work on compared to the HD equivalent (that I've also put around 20,000km on).
Hopefully he doesn't scratch or drop the bike though as finding replacement body pieces that match will be difficult/impossible. Likely have to respray the entire bike.

I also recently got my second one. One for the bike lift and one bolted to the 5x8 trailer. There on for $59 now.
