Part of it is (for me at least) dollar/smile ratio
for 10k you can buy an insane mt09(cheaper if you go used).
To get the car equivalent would be well into 6 figures and still not nearly as fun(it is only 4 wheels after all)


Besides, most of the fun cars arent driven in the winter either, so might as well get a bike
(Have yet to see the lambo's or gorgeous classic cars being used in the winter/daily drivers)

lol, don't own it. I valet at a high end restaurant downtown, so i did drive it at least. ?
 
cars are getting boring with no leaps in performance or tech the Last 24 months compared to the 5 to 10 years before that ...I have a few cars and usually upgrade regularly but nothing has caught my eye that breaks new ground and is worth trading up what I have....until now.. the new vette is pretty groundbreaking and the price is very low for what you get. Here is what i ordered in convertible ....don’t know when it will arrive but it will be an addition not replacing anything I currently have, I would never have bought a vette until they made this mid engine version

If you were to assess one on their own, they are just fine. But when you compare them to the others, I'd take the better build quality and better engineering of an established Japanese brand (except Nissan) any day of the week. They are simply built better.

My santa fe while simple has never seen a dealer since it left and after 7 years cost me nothing and is going strong without even a spec of rust. Insane. Im glad I bought it when i did

Nah, a Civic Type R would give you all the smiles you need. Lots of smiles per dollar.

is their a delete option on that tack on wing? destroys the lines of the car and absolutely hideous.

‘yes but I disagree...it’s actually the higher wing option and I chose it as it makes the car look better and work better...you must really hate the wing on my GT3RS then..I think it’s cartoonish but it works

The new C8 is fkn badass and the z06/zr1 versions will be insane!

0-60 test right at the start of the video, and listen to that v8 noise flowing through to the cabin.

Not true at all, any hellcat/zl1/gt500 stock or the new c8 will match or exceed the mt09 performance and especially after about 200 kph give or take and they're all in the 5 figures. A used GTR is 5 figures and goes 0-100 in 3 flat stock and can be properly driven in crap weather it has ridiculous traction. Now the MT09 is still tremedous value fun for the dollar, but you really don't gotta do 6 figures on cars to have a fun car... Modding opens up a whole new world too, I've seen some 20-30k builds that are legit

It seems like in the motorcycling community there's a lot of riders that haven't really experienced any proper cars and write em all off as appliances like regular cars

fz09 is 2.8 0-60, fyi.

and it costs 10% of a hellcat.

c8 is impressive bang for the buck.

you know yourself in the real world keepin the front down on the 09 is gonna be 0-100 kph in 3.5 ish
and what's your point? ofcourse the car will cost more, it just ain't 6 figures was my point.
Msrp on a new mt09 is $10199 while a hellcat is at $76195. 10%?

i had no trouble keeping the front down, it has the nannies to do it. /shrug
