Anyhow, it's a bit irrelevant as the CHL is universally regarded as the best Jr development system. If a Canadian kid isn't draftworthy, there's near zero chance he is a going to play professionally no matter where he trains.

I know a guy from the local junior A team went over to Europe for a while. Could have been an overage player though. He came back and played for the Maple Leafs briefly I think after a showing at the world juniors.

about insensitive comments about hockey fans

who made offensive comments and refused to apologize

Search Youtube, I've see a few TV interviews with Cherry, he offered to clarify, he refused to read the scripted apology served up by Rogers (McLean left his helmet on for this fight, he read the scrips and kept his job).

I'm still wondering about 2 things.

1) Why was the live Coaches Corner recorded and re-aired in Ottawas and Montreal English markets if the commentary was so incendiary? McLean says he didn't catch the comment, the production handlers that call in the commentary to McLean didn't catch it, nor did the producers. The proverbial **** hit the fan the next day when it all turned into a Gongshow.

2) I wonder what Cherry's personal thoughts toward Mclean's turtle? I'll bet Cherry would love dance with Mclean.
 

McLean's last stand, he'll go back to his $25/game career as a beer league hockey ref.

There are a few encoded messages in this, those of you who have played or been involved at high levels will have picked these up. For those who have not, here are a couple of hidden messages.

1) Bobby Orr is disappointed with me. This is a reference to players standing up for each other. One thing about hockey players is you learn that nobody ever gets thrown under the bus.
2) Don And I are in a Foxhole together. This is a reference to the responsibilities of players to players. When one makes a bad decision, the team gets behind them, not across from them.

why?? its keeping people engaged and interacting, in a section of the site called romperroom, which keeps up the post count for the site which makes it more marketable to attract advertisers. And there is 4" of snow on my lawn.

but it seems the older I get, the less tolerance I have towards alcohol.

Consider me the designated driver guy that has to get you out of the bar before you start the fight with 5 guys. ... although there was that time Chuck wouldn't get out of the van so I kind of just left him there & the next day he complained about his feet frozen to the floor in his own vomit :|
