Where did I mention them not having an economic platform before? Think someone’s meds have worn off.

It is a bit odd though that a party running on fiscal responsibility only wants to let voters know about plans dealing with said fiscal responsibility after all debates and just as voting is about to take place. The NDP did the same thing too.

Generally as a voter I’d like to be informed about each party's detailed platform well in advance of the vote.

If someone has a good idea why don't they implement it as soon as they think of it so it can do the most good for the longest time and prove its value in the field. Instead all the great ideas are saved for the month before the election.

why does sheer always have a smirk on his face as he speaks? its as if he finds his own words amusing ...
Smiling while talking is a key point, guess that's how he rolls.

LOL. JT showed up in Mississauga last night with a bullet proof vest for his speech on tougher gun control. Pretending there was a "security threat" to him, he was surrounded by RCMP SWAT team. What a cynical exercise. They must think everyone is stupid. Yeah those evil duck hunters, they're just mass-murderers in waiting. Meanwhile, nothing on tackling street gangs.

So is it just me or do the cons have the only platform with a plan to balance the budget?

Where do the other potential future leaders of this country think the money is going to come from??!

This is nuts.

I was referring to his smirk..every time he makes a speech. not a normal smile. Its a smirk. Clearly.
You're right I guess....its the way he rolls ..

This is nuts.

pop and GDP growth are good things too

the problem with the Cons is not the general ledger
most Canadians want fiscal responsibility
it's the rest of the platform that is unappealing to most Canadians

Cons talk a good game
then they get in power and tank the economy
and we get this

What makes you think they will tank the economy? Fiscal responsible govt should strengthen the economy.

And what policies in particular are bad?

a little more on this
up until the 80's
looks like all governments were responsible

then Mulroney happened

but the 80's were in my recollection
the time that started the trend where everyone wanted everything - right now

up until then people generally lived within their means

last one for the day
war time

lol

Canada hasn't been in a budget moving war for 80 years
a 4,000 strong battle group in Afghan don't count

Happy Thanksgiving to you hosers

He's just always daydreaming about chocolate milk

I hear ya, but even if you don't intend to balance the budget, i want you to tell me you'll balance the budget. Simply admitting you'll spend until the cows come home isn't something i can get behind.
some great bantering going on here ! Seems to me by accepting their lies (cons and libs) and then voting for one or the other, is counter productive for all of us. This is where you step up and stop supporting both of them so they get the message. We have alternatives.

The NDP plan to save cash by hunting tax cheats down is an appealing one. Unfortunately those that can afford to hide their cash effectively can also afford expensive accountants to keep the tax man at bay with new schemes.

It’s another **** sandwich this time around, just a different choice of bread.

Fair point.

However:

NDP have no fiscal responsibility either. Furthermore i find the Greens and the NDP far too fringe based to get my vote, that and their platforms typically don't support my interests. Bloc is LOL. I suppose PPC is my only real alternative, perhaps i shall consider this further before i check the box.

Also, as i previously mentioned; unless you live in a swing district it may be as if you never voted.
