Daily sports car?

What? No zero down, 0% financing? Pffffft.

'It’s hardly a secret that we really like the NSX around here. It’s also not really a secret that Acura is having a hard time moving units of the quick hybrid supercar. In 2018, across the whole year, Acura only managed to sell 170 examples, and despite a revamp for the 2019 model year sales remain slightly soft. Acura really wants to move NSXs that have been piling up, and according to intellichoice, it is offering $20,000 in buying incentives.'

Oh, and Toyota dealers are asking north of $100K for new ($60K) Supras.

Acura wants to move sitting NSXs

It's not even on the list, let alone top 10.

the new NSX looks nice, thats about it for me. I have driven plenty of them and have sold one (2017 fully loaded to the tits with every single option available) i was one of the very few people that is able to sell this car. my costumer payed $252,000 + HST for his, he traded in a 2007 911 convertible (non turbo).

My opinion on the NSX: it is a great looking car and it looks like an exotic car but thats all it does well.

The interior of it is no different than a TLX A-spec. It is very flimsy and plastic all over. It does not have a 250k car feeling inside.

Severely underpowered for the money, you cannot buy extended warranty for it. Brake job on the carbon brakes is $20k for the parts alone from acura.

Looks good thats about it, dealers are giving them away. If you know anyone looking to buy one you can DM me i will get you a deal of a lifetime.

Dealers will give 60k off the msrp off these cars, they are losing money by having them sit on their showroom floor.

The flooring on these cars is only good for 6 months after that the dealer is paying interest on their loan. My costumer payed 190k plus tax for his 250k build.

Dealers will give you 60-70k off that car without you having to fight for it.

I don't think Big H is too worried about losing a few measley thou on the NSX, they just annouced a mega million dollar factory expansion for the new HondaJet so they can pump them out faster.

depending on model, They sell for around 3 to 5 million a pop, and Honda is selling them faster than they can make them.

just as their first NSX was a game changer, their first ever airplane HondaJET is kicking ass as well. I think they are doing just fine.

Isn't this the modern Honda -- from gensets to exec jets? Expensive, disappointing performance and while reliable -- expensive to fix.

Actually. I WAS interested. After the first minute. I couldn't handle listening to that guy any longer.

The new Vette appears to be a decent effort. It took them this long to realize the engine belongs behind the driver in a real super car. Honda had this figured out in 1990 with the NSX on their first try.

Maybe in the next generation the brilliant minds at GM will figure out that AWD and electrification/hybridization is increasingly becoming standard for supercars. ?

They perfected the front engine platform.
Also:
2018 sales: 9600 Vettes vs 170 NSX's...

The people have spoken with their wallets.

For the vast majority, affordability does affect their choice. While not cheap, a vette is in a whole different ballpark to the nsx (50 to 100 vs 200+). I'm still not convinced that the NSX would win me over even at even money, but at two to four times the money, my decision is very easy.

"It's not that daily friendly."

What It's Really Like To Daily Drive A Modern Supercar

Read this guys plight, and tell me he wouldn't have been better off with the user friendliness of an NSX

he was loaned a supercar for a few days... not sure I'd call that a plight.

But... regarding his article.. His biggest complaints were not having a garage to park it in, taking it through a regular car wash.. and thinking it's too expensive to drive to Costco. All of those issues would have existed no matter what supercar he was loaned...

I said "Most modern exotics are pretty easy to drive at normal every day speeds" which you're trying to turn into 'which super is a better daily driver'.. that's quite the stretch.

buddy has a mazda rx 8 albeit finicky its a fun car and cheap . He bought his cream puff for 7 grand with like 60 k on it

Maybe this thread can be ended by banning sports cars all together.

Once they've banned the sports cars, they'll come for your bike.

And there'll be no sports car enthusiasts left to help defend you from them.
