Has anyone informed State Farm or TD about their performance upgrade (slip on exhaust, full system, etc) and not been dropped?

I just found out that any performance mod, which can be as simple as installing a fender eliminator to full exhaust system can render your insurance null and void if you are involved in a claim. Or if they find out they can drop you. Does anyone know if this is true? I asked my State Farm...
