I need to get my valves checked and possibly adjusted. Any suggestions?

Just how big a deal is that? I've popped cams to shim valves and although not necessarily simple it is straight forward. Are the demos magnitudes harder?

I could probably do it, I have the manual and google, utube! I think there are special tools required? I have just never done them before so don't want to fubar anything!
