July 5 and 6 2023 - Riding a Tiddler to Tweed

I had an Eastern Shield Section of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group meeting to attend the evening of July 5.
Because my night vision has deteriorated I planned on staying overnight in Tweed.
The choice was to ride my Moto Guzzi or take my 1987 Honda CBX250 which would be more appropriate for a vintage motorcycle event.
I had already rode some 100km trips so I was confident 240km round trip over 2 days was not an issue.
After years of riding in the Mountains and Wester Canada I am used to carrying enough gear to mount an Equator to Pole expedition.
Being a last minute decision to take the CBX250 I did not have saddle bags to load.
Digging thru bins of my surplus gear I found a small tank bag and a tail bag.
On a short trip, how many pair of socks and underwear does one actually need?
The forecast was +30 degrees for both days so I only wore my vented jacket and left my "good" rain gear at home.
I hooked up a charger for my iPad that I use for navigation.
The bike ran great and at times I was cruising at 100kph in 6th gear.
At 71 I will not be doing any 500km days with low bars an rear-sets.
