Interesting! Will you ride your hawk there or trailer?

I have a few options I'm considering:
- trailer south until I get to a warmer state, then park the trailer and ride from there
- fly into Portland, borrow a Hawk from a close friend, then ride from there
- trailer to Chicago, drop off my trailer with family, then take Route 66 the rest of the way

EDIT: One more option:
- fly into one of the warmer US states, buy a brand new FTR and ride that.

I'll also need to find the time for a few mods to my Hawk to make it more comfy for the longer ride. If I can't, then I'd have to ride something else, probably the 998 since I'm not confident enough in the 990's reliability.

Never been, but from one of the past pics they posted, I counted 14 Hawks and a handful of other bikes.

Did you pick up a Hawk too?

I have a hawk. Probably not be the best option for a ride like this!
