Biker wave question

Maybe I'm a bit different than others.
I'll wave on behalf of a ride I'm leading for instance. Or to another group of riders.

But if I'm solo riding, I'm literally in a solo mindset, and prefer to stay anti-social.

I know, but might not make any sense. But sometimes I just don't feel like waving :D

Today was the worst. None of the cruise riders returned my wave

Got a few thumbs up from cagers though, that's a first for me.

I like to wave half way thru a left turn, at speed, leaned over.

I thought I was the only one who does that.

.....in other news, how did I miss the inaugural wave thread until it was already on page 4? I'm slacking.

So, uh yeah, I wave to anyone on less than 4 wheels. I don't care what you ride, it's all the same wind.

I pretty much always wave. It's not always reciprocated in TO, but pretty much always reciprocated when I'm out of town.

Cruisers are usually the more elitist lol. One time I rode past a convoy of them in Erin, going in the opposite direction. There were probably 30 riders and not one of them waved back :(. Cried a lot that day
If I come up behind a group of cruisers and notice they don't wave, I give them all a bye-bye wave as I'm passing them. Usually gets at least 1 salute.

You expect others in front of you to wave?

I'm skipping the wave entirely and just doing the nod that we use in Australia....you sort of tip your helmet down with a twist.
Covers a crowd.....no need to take the hands off .....and in that wind....great idea.

Aussie version of this thread....opposite side of the road may mess with you.

I'd like to see the nod adopted in Canada/North America.

Don't they nod in the UK too? Cause you can't see the clutch hand as easily from the right when driving on the left. Especially with a low wave.

I nod when I need my hands on the controls.

He shouldn't dick around at the light when he's splitting.

Ok turn this around, how about some really good waves? I have had a few from other riders which really impressed me.
One person practically stood up and waved, arm way up high. Another almost reached over the yellow line, arm fully stretched out like I should have 5'd him. Those 2 were the most memorable.

I had a Harley rider approach ,, seem to put arm in waving position , but hold it back till I was nearly on top of him , then this HUGE wave and he did a u turn ! Caught up to me at a light and explained ,, he thought my BSA low rider chopper might be a Suzuki savage! No way he was waving to jap,,

As for snowmobiles on wheels , i Wave arm outstretched, wrist bent, limp hand down,, funniest looks lol

This is sad. Bike shouldn't matter, it's the riding spirit that should. Explains why many cruiser riders didn't return my wave yesterday.

Wonder what brand of car he owns?

My first time out riding this season today and received mutual peace finger waves on all 8 bikes I passed by coming and going to Newmarket on local roads. (I haven't been on a highway yet).

Guess I should have explained better ... when I'm following a group and I see how they treat oncoming riders.

If someone else waves, i always try to wave back unless I’m turning or on the clutch for whatever reason, in which case ill still nod.

I find big Harley skullcap dudes don’t care about waving or they see me on a Japanese bike and don’t care to. This doesn’t always happen but it’s definitely the most common for me.

If another biker pulls up from behind while I’m at a light, I usually wave back too.
