Fresh catch of the day!

^^^ Will this still apply when you're up on assault charges for deliberately ramming another motorist; maybe we'll post your Facebook so we can all sit around debating how you got this way

If someone is pointing a gun at me, that guy is making his bed that he will lay in, and there won't be assault charges for an act of self-defence against that potential deadly force.

-I'm sure that this has come up before, but if they stack stunt driving and careless like that, can you be convicted of both?
-Neat to see the exhaust show up on the FLIR
-"York Regional Police is releasing video from Air2 to illustrate the dangers of operating a motorcycle at high speeds" ... is this a double translation mistake or something? No people were injured, no property damaged, the only person that was even distressed was the rider at the end
-How did he even clue in to the helicopter? They don't list a failure to stop for a police officer, so presumably he wasn't thinking he was running from a cruiser

Coming on a bike forum to talk sht, I wonder how things would play out if I go on Blueline forum & talk ****

This

Seriously Griff2, why do you spend so much time trolling police sites looking for examples of motorcyclists doing bad things, or getting hurt or killed? Yeah, we know there are stupid people out there. What's the point of constantly bringing it up on a motorcycle friendly web site. Live & let live. Better yet, its sunny out. Why don't you go for a ride. Just don't come back and complain if you get passed by a few bikes (I am of course assuming that you would never ever go over the posted speed limit).

He wasn't just going fast. He was doing around 200kmph with other traffic around, never mind all of the other things he was up for even before he tried to run from the cops. You can support that kind of rider if you want, but I won't.

Who knows, maybe he's a 21-year-old probably newer rider who may have learned from others on this site that sportbikes should just run when lit up by the cops, as certain users here are wont to suggest as a viable option far too often. Maybe there should be more of a counter-balance to that kind of suggestion from the more responsible riders here.

Goldwngr reincarnate.

I decided to watch the video finally.

That was incredibly boring. I've seen much more stupid **** on the DVP with a lot more traffic.

Oh and Griff2, I hope this stops you from sleeping at night, but many of us have done 200+ on public roads. I've heard in some parts of Europe, cars will move out of the way for bikes because the drivers want to hear the bike go crazy fast.

And if you want to see actual dangerous passes, go to a track and watch yellow group.

No doubt you take that as a point of pride? "Many of you" doing so won't stop me from sleeping at night, but it has resulted in more than a few not being around to wake up in the morning.

They have an Orientals only class? I can see why but isn't that racist?

Glad to see griff2 being exposed for what he truly is.
Its very simple like I tell worse half DONT LIKE LEAVE

Firstly, I believe that I referred to him as stupid and never said anything about supporting him. But as TwistedKestrel said, there was nothing in the video that appeared to suggest he was putting anyone else at risk, and his speed relative to other vehicles certainly didn't appear to be 2.5 x (80 x 2.5 = 200). So why all the hate?

Secondly charges for items that had nothing to do with how he was riding that night included:

• Operate Motor Vehicle No Insurance
• Drive Motor Vehicle Improper Licence
• Use Plate Not Authorized

So along with his decision to run, did he get these ideas from GTAM as well? Or maybe he's never heard of GTAM and decided to run because he had no licence, insurance or proper plate?

So you've decided that you need to be the moral counter balance to all the hooligan sport bike riders on GTAM advocating anarchy. Did you ever think that your constant spewing of hate only encourages others to get up on their soap box and troll you with the opposite extreme. Maybe, like how the bathhouse raids 35 years ago were the direct catalyst for the creation of the Pride movement (were you a cop back then?), reaction to your black and white law and order view of life may lead to a public revolt and the raising of speed limits in Ontario. Naaa, just wishful thinking ... and certainly not worth listening to a constant tirade of superiority complex.

That bed could get messy real quick. He lives and tells the cops you swerved at him a few times as he was trying to get away, your right to self defense goes right out the window. Anyway, to the point; you advocate throwing the book at speeders and talk about them as scum of the earth, yet defend you're percieved right to administer a lethal dose of vigilante justice over some bs road rage... you're seriously not right buddy

The text says he was initially spotted by a cruiser.
If he had simply pulled over then he would have had a fine of a few hundred dollars.
Now he faces fines in the thousands, possible jail time, the cost of a lawyer and an insurance bill equal to his mortgage payments.

Not true, hes running because..... he got other things to take care of.... like late for a date
....

seriously, he got no valid driver license... and bunch of other stuff

Pointing a gun is a whole different game than ordinary road rage. You seriously don't understand the difference between lethal force pointed your way vs shaken fists and insults, and the difference in what would be seen as an acceptable response in defence to either? And you say that I'm "not right"?

Oh I do; I also understand I have a brake pedal and no want to ever intentionally harm someone who's most likely mentally unstable and likely just going to keep riding on... You know, like all the people who did the right thing and reported that guy... you know, NORMAL people

Man ... why are you talking like you're a lawyer? You're interpreting the law incorrectly. Its not just because you believe your life is in danger, you can use deadly force to "defend". You can only do that if you cant get away from the situation.

I would hate to know if you're a cop. You will be a trigger happy piece of work. Instead of de-escalating the situation, you're looking for a reason to " bang bang". Killers gonna kill, uniform or not.

Self defense goes out the window when someone links you to all your posts showing your premeditated intent take him out with your car and your plan to claim self defense. I guess if they hadn't caught the guy, were you going to take a trip to Ottawa to go looking for the him??? As cool said "Killers gonna kill, uniform or not".

He actually supported the cop that killed the mentally ille teen on street car.

So i'm not shocked seeing his posts. I'm sad tho.... that someone never change,.... no matter what.
