Good Coffee Shops

I used to worked at Tim Hortons before and have seen people taking 4x4 or the absolutely worst 5x5.

In Florida for bike week with girlfriends. Headed out to grab java, I ask if anyone wants anything. Chickie took 5 creams and 8 sugars. I was so embarrassed the next day I skipped java so I wouldn't have to order that **** again!

That reminds me of an episode of Dateline NBC's "What would you do"? They put people in socially awkward, and sometimes dangerous situations, to see what they would do. I sent a message to their world headquarters with a simple "CSB" but didn't sign it for fear of reprisals.

Grounded Coffee Co. in Midland amazing. It's also the butter tart festival in Midland this weekend, so what better reason for a little road trip?

I live in downtown Toronto and there is no way in hell going to travel all the way up north in buttfuk nowhere Midland just for some coffee, there's plenty of good coffee places down here.

Umm, you're supposed to go for the ride. The excellent coffee is just a side note. There are a ton of great roads near Midland and Penetanguishene, all surrounded by the beautiful Georgian Bay scenery.
Enjoy Toronto.

I know it's about the ride but was just referring to good coffee shops around town.

While we're on topic, anybody know where I could ride for breakfast & relax with a nice cup of coffee? Something on the east end of Toronto would be great

Higher Ground of course at the Forks. Place in Guelph as well Planet Bean... Bicycle Cafe in Fleisherton is excellent, two spots in Thornbury - both good - across the street from each other...Ashanti is one, Thornbury Bakery Cafe the other.

Nice ride up Beaver Valley Road to get there. Hockley has a popular place as well.....turn right on Hockley Valley Road going north up Airport Road

Planet Bean has great coffee. However, the hours are ridiculous. The one on Gordon closes at 7 p.m. WTF? Last night the missus and I were out and about and decided to try out Victoria Pizza on the other side of town. There is a Planet Bean there as well and went to go in and thunk. Closed at 6 P.M.! On a Saturday no less.

Am I the only one who sometimes likes to go out for a coffee and chill out with some friends in the evening? Can't believe how early these guys close.

Well, it looks like their hours in the south end have improved since I was last there in the evening.

Still though... Starbucks is open until 1 a.m. sometimes! WTF is with the 8 P.M. silliness?

Higher Ground closes at 6pm. Was just at Timmies Ancaster, completely empty inside. Always empty this time of day. Four workers crowding around drive thru window tho, so coffee wait was still normal. Oh and that gawdawful scratchy whiny music they play like some love starved tinder rejects wailing to the moon but I digress.

Flying monkey bicycle shop across the street from the Ice House in Campbellville has decent coffee inhouse , but the hours are almost as crappy as the ice house hours. But of course its a cycle shop first and coffee house second.

To the tree, to the tree: The Coffee Tree.
