Another Politician found guilty. Disgusting.

Who are we supposed to trust?
Certainly not Politicians.

They lie, steal, are corrupt and now to add to the list, child pornography. Levin — a former deputy education minister. Disgusting.

That's what happens when you have to pick politicians out from a general human population pool fraught with human weaknesses and flaws. Do you have an alternate source pool from which to obtain our politicians?

You pick us.
Hard working. Trustworthy. Honest. Always have a destination, be it positive. Has the right gear and mentality.
What more could you ask for? Love life and live life. Real.

There are 1.3 million workers in the public sector... not unreasonable that some of them may be criminals.

The only problem is, before he was caught doing bad, he was us.

More to the point, we picked him because he presented himself as being like us and reflecting our opinions and wishes.

Now you say "pick us", but that still provide no assurance that "us" won't eventually end up turning out to be just another one of "them".

I would be content if the politicians/bureaucrats/civil servants were held accountable and penalized or jailed for crimes the same way as anyone else is - and they're not.

No, they're not. But more to the point, it's also a fallacy that we "picked him," because in politics today, most of the voting is done to remove the CURRENT corrupt politicians, with the ones being picked chosen because they're not currently the belligerents in power. It's ugly. It's also why the majority of Canadians no longer bother to vote.

yep. It's come down to picking the lesser of the evils. Sad, but true. I think the Prov. Liberals didn't win....the PCs lost. Big difference.

This ^^^
People hate to admit it but politicians tend to be a reflection of the societies who elect them. Just as most successful CEOs didn't get there by being nice to everyone and following the rules the same applies to politicians.

Looks like a couple of keepers in this group ..cia agents make great politicians

I agree 100%. The sad part is I see no change, it looks like the leadership front runner is Patrick Brown, looking at his resume... he has never had an adult job. He went to a very expensive religious private school. He has not stepped down from Parliament (he is an MP) while he is seaking the Ontario leadership, not even a leave of absence... basically collecting tax payers dollars to apply for a new job (even Olivia Chow stepped down). He votes pro-life. He has never held a minister position, even with Harper's weak bench.... that is as good as it gets.

Looks like the Liberals are safe.... very sad.

Yep, deputy ministers write curriculums.

^ lol

Even if he did I still ask what part of the new agenda for sex ed is bad? I think kids nowadays need to be informed earlier. Cyber bullying is a perfect example of what happens when you are too young to realize the big implications of actions. That footprint is now there forever.

After reading the related parts of both old and new curriculums I'm struggling to see the outrage. In fact it doesn't seem to me that anything at all is being introduced 'earlier'. It's merely more specific for the teachers themselves in order to provide them with more detailed instruction.

This is the same conclusion that everyone who actually reads it comes to. So many are just looking for a wedge to rile up their mindless base on issues. Not too unlike those made up facebook stories to rile up hate and bigotry. Its amazing how people put their brains to sleep when and ride a narrative that supports their own view of the world.

Still waiting to hear specifics from Snobike Mike on this thread. Still must be hiding so he doesn't catch the gay.
