What they're teaching kids these days

But at the end of it, I'm still learning, and just doing the best I can.

And that is all that should ever be asked or expected. Be involved, be aware that whatever you thought was the "limit" will be redefined.

We have a son and daughter, had the same expectations of both children and the same boundaries. I'm all for equality. My son was like having a third Labrador, always on time, loyal and responsible, always willing to help. Then there was the daughter, if she got 60% in attendance in high school we celebrated.
And for irony , she turned out great, finished college and earns a far above average wage. Partly because we never gave up, and her Mom is really smart.

Skating a very fine line between what we think the schools should teach, and what we should teach at home.

Personaly, I dont have a problem with the board of educations curriculum. times have changed, and we need to change with it. When I grew up, we didnt have the vast amount of resources that kids today have. While I think that SOME parts of school are horrible, and need changing,. there are many cultures out there that havent adapted to " north american life " and are teaching their children the ways THEY were brought up.

IE: standing on urinals, improper sanitary napkin disposals, unhealthy foods..etc.

things that might be talked about in Health classes...

I dont have a problem with teaching kids about sexualilty, but i dont expect them to teach every single option available. This is a Man, This is a Woman, these are the parts. kids ask about gays ? explain it . dont force it.

I don't have a problem with skating lessons unless it's on very thin ice.

Remember that stuff about being the parent and not the best friend kinda thing..

here is a total parent fail. 10 bucks says this kid has parents that feel talking is the best option, and working on communication with words rather than hands kinda crap..

anyways... try and see this for what it is, and not for making fun of the way the dude talks.

on the flipside.. suprised cops didnt assasinate the black dude for holding the white kid down.....lol

I'd take that bet. There could be any number of reasons why the kid is doing that. I'll bet he doesn't have the emotional IQ or real power to deal with what's bothering him. Beating something into or out of him isn't going to fix that.

I think any properly raised kid wouldnt do that, and I bet if and adult were to confront them, they'd cry.

in this specific video, that specific kid. That kid knew right from wrong. he just doesnt give a ****.

im betting this is learned at home.

Um, where exactly are that kid's parents? And wtf is the guy with the camera saying? Oh, yeah. See my earlier post re: USA?

No **** Sherlock any properly raised kid won't do that. Is this the level of discourse you'll be bringing to the fore this evening? Is there any point in going on? The kids got issues. Bad parenting? You don't say.......:blackeye:

Send the kids to this place ... REAL eye opener as to how messed up kids can be from the projects because of society.

Some kids a ****** up (because of parents) at a young age. When my son was in daycare a 4 year old girl was teaching him and tge other boys about sex.

I just taught my kids to ride. It's better than sex! :)

Wait 'til they find out riding, sex and eating ice cream all at once doesn't add up to the sum of the parts. Moderation.

I agree; riding is better than sex! ?

You seem to have an ice cream addiction. You may want to speak to someone about that.

that the police arent here to help you.

the general public thought of police as friendly and helpfull. now public perception is the exact opposite.
