Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

And they built it from parts, it's not even real.

That is because you cant import that bike legally into California. The only way to do it is by piecing it together. When I first got into motorcycling a few of us got together and did this with 4 500's. Unfortunately the MTO caught on and we had to export the bikes in a set period of time.

And they built it from parts, it's not even factory original.

Fixed it for ya... seeing as how everyone is a literalist. A mint original RGV250 in the most desirable schemes is worth around half of this. No doubt building a bike piece by piece is going to be expensive. That doesn't mean it's worth 2 to 4 times as much as another RGV250 in similar condition. **** for 23 grand I could buy a never used Honda RS250 GP bike. Or a used RS250/TZ250 and a mint Lucky Strike RGV250 as well.

Jeez, you guys are so literal. Psycho has it right. I can build up a shelby cobra from NOS parts, that doesn't make it worth the $1,000,000 commanded by the ones shelby assembled from the same parts. Even if it cost me $500,000 to collect the parts, it is still a knockoff and I'd have trouble getting much more than $100,000. Same thing with a mini cooper S/Yanko Camaro/etc etc, the originals are priced high because there is a very limited supply, ones that look similar (or are even identical but created later) are fun drivers, but will never be worth anything close to the originals.

That's not what Psycho is saying... What Psycho is saying is that this bike is not worth MORE than a mint condition original RGV. Original production RGVs are going for 2-3 times less than what this guy is asking for a modified(GSXR forks) bike. If he was asking the same price as an original then it wouldn't be so out to lunch.

This is not a Shelby Cobra, or a Yenko Camaro. Those are limited production run factory modified vehicles. This is a regular production run RGV250, it's not even an SP model.

Not sure how well those powder coated fork tubes are going to slide.

Well he disabled the rear suspension, maybe he was trying to build the front to match.

Edit:

Upon further review the rear suspension "struts" may collapse when you hit a big bump and it becomes a low-rider. The more you look at this thing, the scarier it gets.

He says this

"Getting rid of everything due to no time for any of these project"

As Clint Eastwood says.. A Good man knows his limitations..lol

Too bad he didn't realize those limitations BEFORE he started...
