It would have been written by experts that they hired, although he might have had some influence over who was hired, and the government would have input as to what was to be included.
Personally, I'd like to see a bigger emphasis on birth control. You don't have to be religious to realize that you're extinguishing lives. After all, every single one of us started out as a fetus. We need more and better counseling for women who do get abortions, and we need to work on preventative measures, without restricting access. Abortion shouldn't need to be used as a form of birth control. The study below says 40% of pregnancies are unplanned, and half of those are terminated. Doing the math, means that 20% of pregnancies are aborted.
"About 80% of Canadian women use some form of contraception, compared to 64% of American women.
Nonetheless, a substantial proportion of pregnancies are unplanned. Such information is not routinely collected, so it is hard to obtain estimates, but it seems likely that perhaps 40% of all pregnancies in Canada are unplanned. Of these, about half are carried to term; the other half are terminated.
There are about 31 abortions per 100 live births: roughly 330,000 live births and 100,000 abortions each year. About half of the abortions are performed in hospitals, half in clinics.
In 2003, 103,768 abortions were recorded in Canada, about 15.2 per thousand women. The number appears to be declining by about 1% per year. There are about 39,000 abortions each year in Ontario, delivered in 76 hospitals and 6 clinics. "

A freedom of information act request finding disputes the notion that abortions are declining. It actually appears that they may be increasing.
"The simple math of 15,232 missing abortion reports in Ontario and 30,000 missing in Quebec plus another hugely underreported amount from B.C. and the other provinces puts us at well over 110,000 abortions."

Here are some social democratic facts for you to dispute:
Fact: Wynne's sex ed curriculum: has been sidestepped (dismissed and disregarded) by the Ontario Catholic school board.
ork.
Here's how stupid and convoluted some of the abortion information gets. Two reports from the same media point, from the same poll, with different results stated. One says 53% and the other 60%. You can't make this stuff up.

That chart is not exactly correct -- even when looking back 3 years. Liberals and NDP Party are higher up the Authoritarian scale, meaning they are more likely to rule by regulation and more likely to involke more regulation. Authoritarian sometimes gets confused with mean -- PCs are often viewed as meaner because their agenda usually includes rolling things back (repeals) cutting costs, and they are most resistant to increasing program spending.https://www.politicalcompass.org/canada2015
I guess when I see "Liberal" on the right side of the axis, I'm not inclined to describe it as "far left". Would you?
Just reread the two articles, they are a year apart.
Why was it overdue? What was necessary, yet missing? No, a convicted pedophile wasn't involved in the long overdue revisions to the sex ed curriculum.
I won't argue the semantics, but if you're into child porn, you're into lil' kids.Your point? Do you know (as reprehensible as they both are) that pedophilia isn't the same as child porn?

Liberals have the most range, they will move moving into PC or NDP space. PCs and NDPs tend to stay closer to their party fundamentals.
True dat. And it doesnt matter if you haven't touched that reform!?I won't argue the semantics, but if you're into child porn, you're into lil' kids.
