Old movies you've seen, and recommend.

Nice, John Carpenter movies around this time are all pretty kwel..
Escape from New York, The Thing, and They Live!

Prince of Darkness.

Frankenstein - Boris Karloff.
Gone With the Wind.
Murder my Sweet.
The Maltese Falcon
Chinatown
Hell's Angels - Howard Hughes version
The African Queen
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
The Big Sleep
The Treasure of Sierra Madre
Ride of the Magnificent Seven - 1960s version (hilarious the way the Americans see themselves vs Mexicans in that movie)
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Midway
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? - Betty Davis
North by Northwest
The Dawn Patrol
Captain Blood
How The West Was Won

Loads of great classics that should never be missed, but the noirs are my favorites. They just don't do them the same way these days.

When I saw North by Northwest I made up my mind I would see Mount Rushmore some day. It was decades before it happened but in 2008 I rode there. I still have the parking receipt band on the handlebars.

Ha that is funny. I thought the same thing when I saw the movie. Now that I picked up riding and there are some (from what hear) great routes around there, a trip out that way will be planned.

Saw it many years ago. Thought it was very strange. Might have to revisit this one.

Memento

Xmen Days of Future Past (IMO, the best X-men movie, though Logan gets honourable mention for me)
