cheap gps @ brick/mortar store?

Looks like Garmin/Navigon discontinued their app. Sygic worldwide is on sale for $25, which is a great deal.

Navmii is free ($3 to go ad free). Maps are off-line on your phone. Canada takes up about 1 GB of storage. Works on Car Play as well. Been using it for years on my Appradio w. the Pioneer's App on the phone.

The nice part of Pionneer's dedicated head unit is you can bypass the restrictions with the Appradio extension on Cydia and run any app on your phone on it.

Friend just gave me their old one for free ;) you need to find a friend who has recently upgraded to a new one.

... I don't use them much, I have a good sense of direction and plenty of time for adventure.

lol, came on here looking after the dusty gps my sis in law gave me no longer worked.
cell pjone is not an option for me
I have never bought anything online; I do zero banking online, no pay pal, nvr even so much as checked a bank balance...so brick n mortar it is. probably missing out on some deals...

amazing reply thx everyone.

Im thinking of picking up this refurb gps with dash cam for $80 at factory direct.

do I need any sort of other device to use the dash cam? Im electronics illiterate lol. your comments welcome.
pretty certain I am going to buy this. Since its a refurb I'm going to pay the extra $8 for a years warranty rather than the 90 days - $8 waste of money or not?

You need a MicroSD card for the dashcam.

Amazon reviews for that one are pretty bad. I used to stick with Garmin for GPS (although some had good luck with TomTom).
For instance, this one from 2015 "The maps are at least 1yr old and no new updates are available or planned. FREE MAPS FOR LIFE MEAN NOTHING with this unit!
VERY POOR NIGHT VISION CAMERA! It can only see head lights! It make a fair dash cam for day light only. Don't buy this unit!"
and this one
"But frankly this RoadMate is pretty defective, read the reviews, they are mostly correct. We went back to the previous model."

FWIW I never buy extended warranties on electronics. By the time they die, things have moved along and the new ones are much better. IME, if it survives the first 30 days, normally it lasts years.
