You seem upset.

In 2018 canada, its not a stretch but a reality now days. Perhaps you've been living under a rock. Or maybe you missed the part where the lawyers stepped in and said this was an ontario human rights code violation?

Maybe take those ovary colored glasses off every now and then.

Shame more women don't think like you

This barber that's been doing things for 40 yrs + , in the same way. Who interviews very well as a barber that just wants to run his shop in a professional and courteous manner will now need legal council. This idiot woman will cost him thousands since sitting in a law office and meeting with your insurance providers isn't cutting hair.
She'll get her 15 mins of fame, he'll get bill in the thousands. Shes' something that starts with C.

A stupid comment would be "He refused to cut my hair, that's scary."

If I wanted a suit altered and was refused service because the place was tailored to females and dresses, should I be scared and sue, or should I go somewhere else?

Just re-read your comment, seems you're just offended by the exaggerated comment regarding rape... Carry on.

That would just be far too logical! I must be a victim!(of some kind?)

Thanks, exactly what I meant

I'll take the ovary glasses off when you erase the penis marks from your face

"I'll take the ovary glasses off when you erase the penis marks from your face"

I'd like to suggest that ovaries (in a XX human) would be more comparable to testes (in a XY human) vs penis. And references to testes marks may actually be more funny in this context.

What are we to believe? That this is some sort of magic xylophone?

Wasn't there a similar case around a year ago with a Muslim barber?

And someplace where a "Christian" bakery refuse to sell a cake to a same sex couple?

NFG had it right, there are rights, and then there are things that are important. Who will or will not give me a haircut or bake my cake is not one of these.

Move on, find someone that wants to take your money. Or make a big deal out of it. However don't assume they are part of the me too movement or want to be just because they do. Enough false accusations going round nowadays.

I don't think the barber is a human rights violator. She on the other hand just like to stir some sh13t up. He could've been in a much better situation if his barber shop states Men's Salon, sadly probably it didn't. If his sign clearly shows he specialises only in Men's hair cut I don't think she has any case. Lots of business specialises in gender specific, age or even sizes/height. His shop probably appears to offer services to all/general public.

He's denying the exact same service to women that he's offering to men. That's a HR violation. Any other business that does the same is also a HR violator.

In this case it's an innocent and harmless violation but the law is a blunt and ruthless tool that doesn't care about people's good or bad nature, just their actions. Which is why the woman is a twat for going after him. But legally, she's right.

So she travelled 45 minutes x2 to have her human rights violated.

Lots of places in Stratford to get a haircut.

Here’s one in her home town...could have saved her the drive to Waterloo.

Who said anything about rape. Hold on too long and it could be perceived as inappropriate touching. The point is it's a stupid accusation, but not inconceivable in this day and age.

Always thought of barber shops for men and salons for women....in general.

He made a mistake when he said he doesn't cut womens hair. He needed to say that he didn't feel comfortable creating the hair style she wanted and he would be in the clear.

It's not a mistake, it's the store's policy since he said they've denied serving other women before but they just weren't... "scared and upset" LOL!

He could've gone to school or training only for cutting men's hair. And all his experience is cutting men's hair. It's ok to have a business only cutting men's hair, or children hair or animal's hair. It's not HR violation. His shop should indicate that. She knows the loophole that's why she went for it.
