Anyone got a chain riveter I can borrow

... doesn't look good :I maybe you should improvise, are you trying to break the old one or install the new master?

;) you didn't read the instructions where it says:
It is recommended to grind off the chain pin head before using this tool.
in which case you might as well just use a rock and an old dull nail to drive it apart.

... that tool does not have the facility to install a new rivet master does it?
 i should know seeing as I have one in the garage somewhere, but I always fit a cir-clip master.

I got the RK Chain Breaker/Riveter. I ordered it online from the Sprocket Specialist or Sprocket Center, I don’t remember which one but it was the tool that they used and recommended. The D.I.D tool looked pretty nice and solid but it was a lot more money.Anyway, the RK tool works flawlessly.Heard some not so good things about the Motion Pro tool .The RK tool pressed the pin out to break the chain effortlessly without grinding the head off.Too bad I live in Brooklin.
