Been looking to get a naked decided to get some quotes on the ones i was interested in which turned into getting a quote on every naked because why not. This is with full M, 6 years experience, 1 non fault accident. All models are either a 2014 or so.

Street Triple 675 - 1889
Street triple 675 R - 1906
Duke 690 - 1931
Z1000 - 2780
Speed Triple - 2784
Spreed Triple R - 2805
Superduke 1290R - 3734 WAT?
FZ07 AND brutale 675 both - 4124
GSX1000S - 4168
FZ09 - 5909 WAT?
S1000R - 6014
Ducati 821 - 6014

Now all this is just quotes from one company and not a broker so it can vary greatly, i understand that. But how the **** are you gonna tell me a striple is 1889, superduke 3734, but a ****ing fz07 is 4124?

I assume you`re at least 25, the quotes are pretty bad. Give Mitchell & Whale a call.

For reference i pay just under 1300 for my fz09, 1 full year of insurance, GM2.

Wow, that is crazy! I have 1 year, M2, and that was my quote for a 07 just about.

How old are you?

This is just the insurance industry catching up to the best kept secret of modern day naked bikes.

I paid $3500 for an fz09 (but im 28 in brampton)

Buy the Duke 690 for now...or even better the new 790.
Bet the 790 ins rate is close to the 690.

i'm 50, female, live in Milton, pay $940 for an FZ07 and that's with an at fault write off on my last bike in 2016...full M since 2014...TD Meloche Monnex

Rider Pluse, 50+ M2 i pay around 1,100 for Z1000R. This is the only place I don't wish to get young again!

Yea im 26 and in whitby. Everyone says it gets better at 25 which it went down maybe 200 a year which is obviously nice but its not like id ever tell anyone wait till 25 for that amount of savings. Its like they want you to start riding as a mid life crisis and not sooner with these garbage rates.

Wait till 30

Lol I just got quoted $2800 for a BMW F800R after my broker said my current insurer wouldn't touch it...when I have a litre bike with them.

Same crap with me I have a 2012 Speed Triple R and a 2011 Sprint GT both 1050CC's and 129-139 Horsepower $650/year for each. I just bought a Kawi Z900RS SE Standard UJM Style with only 100 Horsepower and insurance wants $1075

52 years old no tickets and no claims figure that one out?????

$1000 for a new bike, full coverage (I assume), What's the issue?

Age makes a huge difference for motorcycle insurance, especially after 30.

I originally thought so as well..

Back when I was 25 I was paying 75/month on a brand new gsxr750....

Now, 12 years later I'm riding a 14 year old litre bike and paying 140 a month...

I'm 37, perfect record...no accidents or tickets (ever - believe it or not).

I still saw increases as my age went up. Clearly other factors hold more weight than age

I dont think age matters once you clear the 25 mark...

It makes a big difference at 30, but also depends on the type of bike. For instance, SS insurance for me dropped in half or less. After 30 it makes no difference.

only can think that more people bought FZ07, and made more claims... ?
