Once I have received the envelope of cash, I'll give the purchaser 10-15 mins to return the bike (in the exact condition it left in). There's the test ride and everyone is happy.
Correct me if i'm wrong,but if the keys were in the bike and the test rider doesn't come back,isn't that "insecure to theft" in the eyes of the insurer.
Envelope full of cash changes everything. At that point money and vehicle have changed hands so they've bought it, you just need to finish the paperwork.
We can even go one further. Photo of their license before they get on it. That plus cash should incentive enough.
When I picked up the ninja 300 for the gf I asked the seller to test ride it. He didn't ask for either but I wouldn't have batted an eyelash with the request.
