Can anyone suggest a broker for classic insurance?

    Forum Sponsor
I think I want to get my old 81 750f back on the road. I have a daily bike. I'd just like to take the Honda out for a small ride now and then so she dosent sit another year.

I know there are rules about how many km's and where they can and can't go.

I know I'm qualified for it
    Over 35
18 years of consistant insured riding

Just wondering if anyone had more experience insuring a classic and suggest someone before I shop around and possibly make a mistake.

Also, do they have their own appraisal people? Or do I have to find one myself?

    Thanks for the help.

I've never bought classic bike insurance (just insured old bikes like normal). On the car side, I needed to submit my own appraisal from a certified appraiser before they would quote me. The insurance company didn't even suggest an appraiser. There was a sketchy online appraiser brought up in a recent thread. You send him some pictures and a few bucks and he creates the report for you. That's probably what I'd do next time.

    EDIT:
It looks like Mitchell & Whale does this. See very similar recent thread. http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum...urance-Options

https://www.streetsvilleauto.com/ is online appraisal another member brought up. I've never used them and I'm not sure if they do bikes.

You might be surprised how restrictive classic motorcycle insurance is...and how cheap regular insurance will be.

I had historic plates on my car for about a week then that got changed. Way too many restrictions. I want to be on the road when I want to be on the road. I'm not sure if insurance sets similar restrictions for bikes or not (the worst one for me was you were only allowed to drive to organized car shows or the mechanic).
