Cbr600rr subframe removal

Okay have a look I have the brake side and the clutch side ratchet down. I need to go down on the brake side but If I tighten ratchet the shock just compresses

subframe appears to be higher on right side than left side
so you want either the left to go up, or right to come down

opposite of the side where you apply the force, you want to stay stationary
lifting the left side and keeping right side down is going to be difficult

but you can pull down the right side while blocking the left with the method shown
this will reverse the twist in the subframe

GG is right, that pic of the come along is for a 1.5 ton example
would not want to exert 1.5 tons trying this
you can get them much smaller, or try with a ratchet strap as suggested

this is just a more controlled way of applying the twisting force where you need it
roping the bike to a tree and using a long lever may work, but really?

re: your latest pic
you need something solid on the left side
and you need to pull down on the right
towards the rear of the subframe

pulling down on the passenger peg assembly will accomplish nothing

Okay I understand I need to pull down on the right side while keeping the left side stable but how do I keep it stable

put something rigid in there so the shock doesn't compress, on the left

edit: but like Grey Ghost pointed out
same force you apply to the sub frame
will be applied to one side of the swing arm
so exercise caution

Those subframe also splits in 2 pieces via a bolt in the back. Would it better kept on tight or loosened while trying this

it was bent bolted together, so I'd say keep it together to straighten
both halves will have a twist in them

may have to get the exhaust outta there

I agree with your theory

I can get a bar through the frame like this and push down on the brake side

This thing is less the 1/8” twisted maybe I should just leave it and ride it? Lol

too each his own of course, but I would have to get it straight or get it out of my sight

that bar method should work too, but you risk flipping the bike...any trees nearby?

I gotta get on with my day, good luck man

Man I figure something out how to stabilize and got it pretty damn straight
