New scam(?) for motorcycle sellers to watch out for

A friend is selling their bike, received a call from 819-801-5384 ([FONT=&quot] Trois-Rivieres in QC) - thought it maybe someone from out of town interested in buying the motorcycle.. turns out they are trying to broker a deal for the seller to work with them to help them connect to "buyers" who are interested in their "unit". You could hear it was from a call centre environment, and definitely an woman who was trying to sound North American, but natively from India. Easily to pick up the "twang" in the accent. Told them wasn't interested and hung up on them and blocked the number when they kept insisting.

I Hadn't heard of this type of scam before, but its probably where you pay them a few, to "connect to a seller" etc that leads to nothing, or a payment via western union that never arrives :)

Not a new scam. Offer usually comes by email, sometimes offering to pay more than you asking price as a "reward for your hassles".
