Hi all
Is this a prefered method of protecting the
lower shock components?

Anyone try a piece of inner tube?
Just curious, as i had corrosion and dirt in that area, and had to replace/grease the whole thing, but its still exposed, and I am looking to protect it...also dont want
to trap moisture inside it, causing more problems...
Any info helps - Thanks!

I have never seen a bike with one boot of this sort. I don't use one personally ... have yet to see PDS with one in a state of despair.

I used one, seemed to keep the mud out,but I think it was showing wear from the mudflap.Cheap enough for you to try,you can also get a guard to protect against mudflap wearing on the swingarm.

For most of my bikes, protecting the suspension linkage was a matter of extending the rear edge of the bash plate, that's where mine was always getting damaged. ymmv.
