RC51 is a fun bike but I really wouldn't pony up that kind of money for a Hayden edition.
To be of value for collectors you also need ultra low mileage and a genuine mint condition. If you just want to ride a unique bike maybe wait a bit and see if you can find a regular model? That is if you even end up with the Honda.

Does it have to be a litre bike? Maybe try the Triumph Daytona 675 for something different?

I'm not looking for points or to be cool or what not lol. I just want something different as I've already gone the Honda kawi way. There is nothing wrong with them and I am not against getting another but I really just want something different...

Then skip the GSXR and the R1. They're run-of-the-mill bikes. Good? Yes. "Something different"? No.

I've ridden an RC51. The riding position locks you into one spot on the bike. It's no lightweight. It's definitely interesting. But the pricing on the one that you found looks like it is out to lunch.

I'd consider either of the Aprilias ...

I don't like the look of the triumph.

I am limited to what is listed that's why the op has those random bikes shown.

The link above those bikes are priced crazy high...

I missed a 999s I wanted and then missed an aprilia I wanted...but now I am ready to purchase as the boss said it's ok lol

I sold my 2010 1198 Ducati for 9 g in 2014 a 848 should be available for around 5 by now or a 1198 for 7.

I'm surprised there isn't more love for the F4. Sure the company's future is questionable, reliability is questionable, probably all the other bikes on your list outperform it. But damn, what a pretty pretty bike.

It doesn't Have to be now but I got the go ahead to buy and I've started my search.

I'm not set in stone for liter bike I'd buy a 749s/r or an 899. I would consider a pretty new gsxr750 as well.

Sportbike...

749 899 959 999 ect.

I am willing to travel just about anywhere I can drive and ride back from...

I call “********” on the complete thread! If the poster can afford the insurance on any of the discussed bikes he/she can afford to buy a new version of most of them. Remember we are talking about thousands of dollars a year. Judging by the spelling errors I can only assume the poster is younger than fifty, so realistically could not afford the insurance bill, but if they could, they could afford a new Bike.

Buying a bike soon these are on my radar...

2010 mv f4...9500k
2008 gsxr1000...12k
2007 r1...30k
2007 rsv 1000r...35k
2005 rsv factory...32k
2004 rc51...28k

Any opinions would be appreciated. Theu are all on kijiji hell you might even know 1 or more of the bikes lol

why is an 11y old R1 worth 10k more than a 2018 R1? MSRP on Yamaha.ca shows it at 20599
or did you mean 3000 (3K) instead of 30000(30k)?

same for the Aprilia RSV? i see local dealers with brand new 2017's for 17k. why is a 2007 worth 2x as much?
or do you mean 3.5k (3500) not 35k (35000)?

then again, is it i am reading it wrong and you mean 35k km and not $$?
