Apparently they are saying that anyone who invested originally will be getting a helmet.. they will not take any new $$ from potential customers until their product is ready to ship from warehouse. I wanted one of these when they were first making noise about them. Since that time however they have had some competition spring up.

These are not cheap helmets. Both these companies are showing off some decent prototypes at various tech shows, but I don't think I would risk any real $$ until I can walk away with one in my hand the same day or from a reputable online retailer. Hopefully they setup up a booth or something at GP Bikes or another large brick and mortar so people can go in and look at them and see if its worth the extraordinary price.

Of the two, I feel like the Cross Helmet is the better design.. Curious to see if these helmets will finally become a reality..

Happy to see Skully is back. Thought it was dead for good. But where is the Augmented Reality tech ? I thought Skully was more than just a heads up display. Did they scrap that ?

are these the same guys who blew money on hookers and cocaine?

Here is a blurb about the new owners.. I'm just glad that this technology isn't going to just vanish because of some greedy little *****..

About SKULLY Technologies

SKULLY Technologies designs and manufacturers AR and AI wearable technology as a part of the personal mobility interconnect. Its first product, the world's most intelligent motorcycle helmet, provides advanced technology to promote a safe, comfortable and connected ride. Headquartered in Atlanta, the new company is led by a team of technology, transportation and motorcycle experts, including majority owners, Ivan Contreras, founder and CEO of Torrot/GasGas motorcycle brands and Rafael Contreras, president of Carbures, aerospace carbon fiber manufacturer; and minority owners Western Technology Investment, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm and Daniel Reiner, an investor in transportation technologies.

I personally would not invest a dime till they have a product on the shelves and have proven they are here for the long haul. I prefer the design of the BMW concept they showed last year at CES but seems like it might never actually be available, at least in the near future.

It's still listed as their "Mission" on their site:
