Yamaha TTR230 Enduro Reviews - Stock vs. Modified (Re-Geared & Re-Jetted)

For those of you thinking of getting into dirt bikes or enduro, I totally recommend the Yamaha TTR230. It's Yamaha's lesser-known equivalent to Honda's CRF230. Sure it's a beginner-friendly bike, but you'd be surprised to see just what kind of gnarly terrain you can tackle with it - and not to mention it's half the cost of a 250 woods bike.

I've made 2 reviews only weeks apart, one of the stock bike, the other with go-fast mods installed. Same rider, same skill level, so it should give you an equal-ground perspective ... at least from one guy's point of view!

When trailering your bike, looks like you have it strapped down with the front suspension fully compressed?

Be careful, it’s not healthy for the bike.

Vids are good and informative.

Use a piece of 2x4 between the tire and bottom triple clamps/fender. Bike stays rock solid.

Looks like this bike isn't tall enough for you. And you're sitting down... as mentioned, use the pegs. Good video tho. If you're getting into enduro find yourself a Husqrvana TE 250, 310, 449 or 511. The latter two for experienced riders of course. The difference between the Japanese enduros and Husqrvana is immense.
