How much would you charge for the work to my bike?

Well Done or Cheap, you can only pick one

Well Done or Cheap, you can only pick one

Not necessarily. For people that do it as side money not a living, it is possible to have both. Add quickly into the list and pick two and you are rarely wrong.

Well Done, Cheap, or Fast, pick any two.

The problem is, since you don't always know the person working on it, you can't always predict what you'll get unless you're doing it yourself.

Exactly, the OP needs to post a pic of the receipt or detail the receipt as written.

Our OP here has a habit of posting threads to which he neither answers others members questions, nor ever follows up whatsoever for that matter.

Makes it hard to be bothered to offer advice when you don't even know if it was received.

Hopefully someone else reading can learn from the mistakes though....like making sure you run the bike through the gears before buying.

Sounds like this happened very very quickly after buying and more than likely an existing problem.

Hmmm - in addition to inspection of a used bike, maybe we should check the social media accounts of the previous owner to detect possible abuse - for example:

Me? Id charge $100 an hour and I'm pretty slow and take naps. You got yourself a bargain.

My ninja 300 would not move. Clutch out, wouldn't stall. Wouldn't move at all. Clutch was completed fried.

My Mechanic had to replace the entire clutch assembly, replace it with a new one, oil changed, and found out the flywheel needed to be replaced aswell. 10 days later he's asking $700.

Is this fair? **** me if it is..

$700 is a lot of money for the average goober shopping retail. To hire a specialist in the GTA and pay for parts and overhead, $700 isn't unrealistic. Remember there's three levels of government breathing down his neck and they all want their cut to enjoy "THE DIVERSE CANADIAN EXPERIENCE". Don't ignore the good points made here but what does your gut tell you? Your brain is a fine instrument, but easily fooled by persuasion. That squishy bag o' guts hanging under your ribcage deals with actual **** every day, so if something smells, it's rarely wrong.

Clutch plates - $200
clutch basket - $300
gasket - $20
Oil change -$60

Not seeing an issue here.

Lol. Trying to "pop a wheelie" sitting down in 3rd on a ninja 300 with likely stock gearing. Fail.
