Off road courses?

Finally started getting out on my bike the past couple months and really enjoying it. Been all inner city driving so far- nothing too fast or technical- just dodging cars. I think I would really benefit from an off-road course. Something that will help me build confidence getting on my pegs, dealing with obstacles in front of me. Getting a sense for losing traction and adjusting, etc.

Dies this make good sense? Any recommendations?
 
I did a four hour course yesterday at MX101 (Sand Del Lee ) and it was excellent.
I wish I'd been in better physical shape and about 30 or 40 years younger for it though.
They taught us on a smaller flat track, a forest track, and then the big track.
The bikes we had weren't set up for jumping, although some tried.

found a video of the big track we were on. It was a little more slippery for us at the time (had just started to sprinkle).
