Hiking Trail Suggestions?

I've been walking the hiking trails at Algonquin park lately. While they've been fun, I'm wondering if there's something closer to home. Does anyone have any suggestions? I like the loop configuration that the ones at Algonquin have.

Thanks in advance.

You could start picking out sections of the Bruce Trail close to you and walk them. Won't all be equally interesting, but that'll be part of the adventure. Also it frequently hooks up with looped side trails

Rattlesnake point to Crawford lake and back. It's not a loop really but there are alternate paths to reach each point.
Forks of the credit area was kinda nice too.

Niagara Glen Nature Reserve. Various trails of various terrain. Elevation, water, rock formations.

Also the Bruce trail near Queenston is nice. Hike along the escarpment, make your way down or back up through many trails. Views of the river. If you make your way to Niagara-on-the-Lake, there are other trails along the lake and you can see Toronto.

I think Niagara Parks May have a list on their web site?

The Glen is not what it use to be. Pay-to-park. Crowded. Litter everywhere. It's a shame. We use to go down to the rapids on Sunday afternoons in the winter and have BBQs. We were the only people there most times.

Look up Hockley valley trails. I was there yesterday and it's beautiful and a great hike!. You can do a 5, 10 or 17 hikel and as a bonus, you can ride Hockley before/after your hike.

Also i recently hiked the Limehouse Trail (north of Milton and it was a great hike)

+1, Hockley Valley is a neat area
resort is good too
for charming the knickers
and a good golf course

You can check out Bond lake in Richmond hill. It's a loop. Jokers hill in Aurora, lots of loops in this forest.

Heard great things about Hockley as well.. seen some gorgeous pictures too

Jokers Hill is ok. Lots of dogs/people, but you can spend a few hours in there easily.

We went up to Mono Cliffs PP earlier this year. It was nice and you can easily hike for an entire day.

I recommend looking for green on the map and investigating. There are tons of trails that nobody visits in the GTA. For instance, NW of Green lane and Bathurst is a short trail that I explored once. I met one guy that goes there daily and I was the first person he had seen in a year. There really are a ridiculous number of trails around if you start looking.
