i'm planning on taking it slow on my little tu250x (avoiding highways) so it'll almost be a 5-6 hour ride to the long sault parkway.

anyone have recos for specific routes or cool stops along the way? cheap, awesome food etc?

cheap motel that is bike friendly right there in Long Sault, Lion Motel
I stayed there in August on my trip to the east coast, it's thoroughly adequate

decent patio area with a BBQ, can grab a steak nearby and a few pints
cook your owner dinner and relax, park the bike right in front of the room

If it’s still open this time of the year you can visit cryslers farm which is just west of the sault parkway.

thanks! although i think i should have done more research. i guess most of the beaches and areas there are already closed for the season. i might still go for the hell of it though...

thousand islands parkway east of Gananoque is a nice ride to Brockville
then you gotta get on 401 very briefly to exit onto HWY 2, which is also alright
but it's very straight and flat whole way from TO where you're going
then the same straight arrow flatness back home

hate to be a know it all dude... it's prolly too late for that
but heading north from say Kingston then looping back west
would provide a much more interesting ride of about the same distance

i think im gonna save this trip till next summer. definitely getting too chilly now! its also getting darker a bit earlier than i'd like.

i don't mind straight and flat...cruising is cool with me as long as its somewhat scenic. eventually i'll try out highway 507 though. haven't been yet!
