The JFL42 festival is coming soon. There is a lot of talent coming.
I'm going to see Bill Burr. I'd also consider Tom Segura and Ali Wong.

God he was awful. I worked a show he did once so I was literally being paid to be there and still felt ripped off.
On that note Ron Jeremy was actually a much funnier show than I expected.
He's no Sir William Connolly
I find too many comedians go for shock value

The thing I like about Jeremy is that he has a good sense of humour.
He gets feedback from the audience and then says something funny about it.
It seems totally natural, and spontaneous; some of the stuff has to be, as it's so random.
I was surprised that he was appearing in such a small venue, but he mentioned that it was where he started from.

I like Jeremy Hotz and the first time I saw him in the 90s at Yuk Yuks I stumped him on a bit of audience interaction. He was ripping on games, like Sorry and Trouble, and was getting the crowd to name more, where he'd cut those ones up. I yelled "Yahtzee" a couple of times, getting passed over by other suggestions, until one point I was the one loud, clear suggestion, and he just said, "Yeah, Yahtzee. Good game." I hope he's got something on it now

Hotz is still doing the same schtick I saw him doing over 30 years ago at yuk yuks in Yorkville.
