Mentoring..

I have no idea what your skill level is but if you are not comfortable on the streets then the best thing to do is to find a large, empty parking lot, set up some cones (or anything really) and practice some weaving and maneuvering.

If you do go out on the streets already, then Danforth is probably not the optimal area for ride arounds. Try to get out of the city outside the rush hour. Take Kingston Rd. to the Toronto Zoo area. There are some quiet roads nearby.

I'm not in your area often so that's the best I can do for now, unless you have some questions that I can answer.

What do you need mentoring with ? Riding ? Maintaice?

For riding : Best thing to do is to take the motorcycle riding course, they teach you a lot of important riding skills in a formal n semi formal class setting .

I started :
Parking lot-->neighbourhood street - - >city street - - >highway

Building confidence is important

I know sharp rider has a course that is designed to address riders in this situation. A friend of mine was scared to ride on the street after getting her licence. I rode with her a few weekends after she took their course and the difference was HUGE!!!!
