Calabogie Solstice Ride

I might just do a loop anyways and scout some of it out for you.
That would be great thanks! Sorry I kept changing the date, but work is a little unpredictable during the week right now.

Since you live around there (or anyone else who might know) - which of the following two ways do you think is a more enjoyable ride heading east towards the 511?

a) https://goo.gl/maps/eqTUAhZpRa72 506/509 via Ompah
or
b) https://goo.gl/maps/tWbyvFYzxty Ardoch Rd/509

I've been both ways, but can't remember if one was more twisty or scenic or whatever... I definitely want to ride S Lavant Rd (#16) on my way to the 511.
Cheers!

Unfortunately, I like them both.

You can't go wrong with either one. They're both great but I would take a) as each time I ride it I feel its just a bit more "out there".

A couple of further points:
There was a deer in the middle of the 511 at around 11 am.
One spot, I think on Ardoch Rd. on a straight stretch had four tall cones in a rectangle across the road; it was hard packed gravel between the cones.
Sand/gravel on the outsides of most of the curves.
Roads are fairly narrow.
Turtle crossings were active; they're small, but still I'd hate to hit one at a lean.

Definitely interested. My plans to ride Pennsylvania tomorrow not getting any weather support, still like a good ride this weekend, I heard great things about your rides.

Edit: Just got in from a late night and it seems to be thunderstorms for Calabogie anyways, so this will have to wait for another day - maybe next weekend...
