But did you have collision coverage? Did they pay for you when you "went down"?

I did not have collision, and they paid me out for the value of my bike after writing it off
 
My worry would be the other driver fighting it, and winning, then my being charged for losing control of my vehicle.

After all how many people here fight every ticket, nevermind an accident. Could that happen in this situation?
 
Realistically if the driver doesn't admit fault, all they need to say is the way was clear, they made their turn and the rider was not in control of their bike and dropped it of their own accord...no contact. Their riding experience could be brought up as inexperienced. Also depends on how reliable the witnesses are.
