Honda 800 vfr coverage?

I have my m2, was insured last Aug. with my m1 at $2,400 annualized, got my m2 last Sept. and my renewal just came at $2,570! Im 56 with a perfect abstract. I see my bike is classified as sport, is there not a sport/touring insurance bracket? Clearly my bike isnt a sport bike and im guessing my renewal is about $1,400 too high.

When is doubt, buy the bike with the least amount of plastic covers on it.

VFR is not a sport bike, but because insurance companies are slow, they consider them sport bikes. Should have gotten a ninja 1000, or gsxs 1000

Who is your policy with? Looks like it's time to start shopping around for quotes.

FWIW Grant Redfern at Allstate got me a reasonable rate on my SV

Yup time to shop, I was quoted anywhere from $950-$1,400 last Aug. but that was if I had my m2 which they all required. I went with my auto insurer with my m1 because they insured me on a pro rated basis for 9 mths expecting my rates would be much lower when renewing with my m2 as per other quotes. Lets say I was shocked to see them go up $62/mth even though I have my m2 now. I welcome any recommendations on good insurers.

Try these companies, if you can't get a good rate from this list it may not exist.

Seems very high . Shop around .

And don't expect a bike specific company to automatically be more reasonable. I went with TD on my new shadow because they were more than $100 cheaper than riders plus. Was going to just add it to my auto policy with Cumis, but they took over 2 weeks to decide whether to write the policy, so I won't be renewing my car with hem this year either. They just lost 5 lines in one shot(2 bikes, car, truck, home) because they dragged their feet, I told them I wasn't going to wait when it comes to a mandatory policy.
