Video Editing Software- for PC - What do you use?

What are some of you using to edit your videos?

I am looking at Sony Vegas Pro 14 (or the Sony Home Edition).
I was hoping for something easier to start using perhaps.

Youtuber's say it's the easiest to use of the major software.

What are you using?

I use this one because it is free. I guess depends on how much functionality you need.

nothing fancy, just starting but if the learning curve is not steep then I don't mind learning a program that will be around and has a large user base.
This stuff and Photoshop can be mind boggling, lol

I used to run Avid Xpress, but lately just use Windows Movie Maker. How's that for extremes?

I use Adobe Premiere and After Effects all the time for my job. They're fantastic pieces of software, but a little on the pricier side of things. You may be able to find a pre-Creative-Cloud version somewhere at a cheap price. The CC ones require a monthly subscription.

+1 for sony vegas, does the job up to intermediate-high level and you can still find version 13 for "free"

or if you want a legit free program check out davinci resolve
