Adventure.

Because the best riding is hours away, and the country/rural areas of Ontario is where our beauty and freedom exists. Bike needs range, comfort and a willingness to devour dirt roads.
Did you buy a new bike? I thought you were on a ninja 300.

DR650. It has no unusable power.

I was looking for a used bike and came across a great deal on 2006 Yamaha FZ1 ... I couldn't resist.

Yes sir! And you are correct. Sold the Ninja 300 last spring and picked-up a v-strom 650. Loving it’s simple, can-do and go anywhere attitude! Let’s ride?!

Sweet choice, love the vstrom. Nice pic too! Definitely hope to get together for a ride this season, we'll work it out.

oh my ...so many memories
Same colour as mine was tho I had stock pipe.

It was touted as the "perfect motorcycle" at the time. Avoided the peakiness of the RD350 ...but still lots of power for size and weight.
Mine would always foul a plug if I ran at wide open ....just enough stutter to keep the top speed down a bit.
Lovely rush tho.
Nice to see one in use.

I ride a 2015 BMW R1200 GS Adventure. It is my third GS ('06 GS, '10 GSA and current '15 GSA). I love the bike, the character as well as that it is a great do anything and everything bike. I feel just as comfortable with the pavement ends and the gravel begins. A click of a button and my bike adjusts, nice soft suspension, traction control, etc. It is a pack mule, I can load it up with all 3 panniers (left, right and top) strap everything to them and fill them up and it still rides perfect. On the other hand can strip it all off in a minute and ride it around naked. It is the best bike I have ever owner.
